DescriptionA black-and-white photograph showing Babe Ruth beginning to run to first after hitting the ball. He is wearing a Yankees home uniform and playing at the Polo Grounds. Ruth is still holding his bat and is just at the start of his stride. The catcher and umpire can be seen to the left with a large crowd in the stands in the background. Based on his time with the Yankees and location, this photograph was taken between 1920 and 1922.
