DescriptionNatural stain wooden bat, 32 ounces, with "Louisville Slugger / 125 / Powerized" in the center of the barrel and "Genuine R206 / Carl Yastrzemski (facsimile signature) / Louisville Slugger" near the end of the barrel. Tape is wrapped around the handle in a spiral pattern. "Carl / *" is handwritten in black ink on the knob end.
Bio/Historical NoteRed Sox slugger Carl Yastrzemski used this bat to rip his 400th career home run, a two-run round-tripper against the Oakland Athletics at Fenway Park on July 24, 1979. Later that year, Yastrzemski became the first American Leaguer to record 400 home runs and 3,000 hits.
