DescriptionNatural stain wooden bat, 32 ounces, with "Louisville Slugger / 125 / Powerized" in the center of the barrel and "Genuine R206 / Jim Rice (facsimile signature) / Louisville Slugger" near the end of the barrel. Barrel has been signed "Jim Rice" in black ink underneath barrel end inscription. Handle is wrapped in white tape. Knob end has "14" handwritten in black ink.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Jim Rice of the Boston Red Sox on September 9, 1984 at Fenway Park, to clout his 25th home run of the season, the sixth of seven times he would reach the mark. Only Ted Williams posted more 25-homer seasons (14) with the Red Sox. This also marked Rice's 301st career home run. The Red Sox defeated the New York Yankees, 10-1.
