Richie Ashburn World Series shirt

DescriptionCream-colored wool shirt, size 40, and seven clear buttons down the front placket. Front chest has "Phillies" in maroon appliques across the front chest. Proper left front shirttail has a manufacturer label along with a small sizing tag and a label with washing instructions. Interior back of the neck has "Ashburn" in black script lettering embroidered on a white label. Back side has "1" appliqued in maroon.

Bio/Historical NotePhiladelphia Phillies uniform shirt worn by Richie Ashburn during the 1950 World Series. The Phillies faced off against the New York Yankees and the Yankees won their 13th championship, taking the Series in a four-game sweep. Ashburn was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995
