DescriptionWhite polyester sleeveless shirt, size 52, with purple pinstripes and seven clear buttons down the front placket. Proper left front chest has a gold, teal and purple "A" applique. Proper left front shirttail has a manufacturer label, "Rawlings / Authentic Collection," with washing instructions. There is a sizing tag below along with a "5 Inch Extra Length" tag and "2002 / Set 2" tag. Reverse of the shirt has "Johnson" and "51" in teal and purple appliques. There is an MLB logo patch at the top back of the neck.

Bio/Historical NoteWearing this vest on September 9, 2002, Randy Johnson of the Arizona Diamondbacks whiffed San Diego's Gene Kingsale in the seventh inning to become the first and only big league pitcher to strike out at least 300 batters in five straight seasons. By leading the league in 2002 with 24 wins, 334 strikeouts, and a 2.32 ERA, Johnson also earned the pitching Triple Crown, the first lefty to do so since Steve Carlton 30 years earlier.
