DescriptionLight gray shirt, size 52, with six gray buttons running down the front placket and "Boston" in red and black appliques on the front chest. There is red piping around the sleeve edges along with a 2004 World Series logo patch on the proper right sleeve and a black and red "R" embroidered on the proper left sleeve. Proper left front shirttail has a white manufacturer label, "Authentic Collection / Russell Athletic," along with "2004" printed on a tab below and sizing information. Reverse of the shirt has "Lowe" and "32" in black and red appliques. There is an MLB embroidered logo at the rear back of the neck.
Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Derek Lowe of the Boston Red Sox during Game 4 of the 2004 World Series on October 27th. The Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals four games to none to win their first Series title in 86 years. With the win, pitcher Lowe became the first pitcher to ever win three series-clinching games in a single postseason, having also won Game 3 of the ALDS against the Angels and Game 7 of the ALCS against the Yankees.
