DescriptionNavy blue uniform shirt, size 48, with six navy buttons down the front placket and red "Indians" appliqued across the front chest. There is white piping around the sleeve openings and down the front placket. Proper right sleeve has a "Jacobs Field" patch while the proper left sleeve has a Chief Wahoo patch. Proper left front shirttail has a manufacturer label, "Russell Athletic / Authentic Diamond Collection / 95." Reverse of the shirt has "Murray / 33" in red appliques. Shirt has been signed diagonally in silver ink on the proper left front below the "Indians" appliques.
Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Eddie Murray of the Cleveland Indians during the game in which he achieved his 3,000th career hit on June 30, 1995. Murray joined the 3,000-Hit Club with a single to right field off Minnesota pitcher Mike Trombley. Murray became the third man to reach the 3,000-hit plateau while wearing an Indians uniform (Nap Lajoie and Tris Speaker are the other two). Murray also joined Pete Rose as the only switch-hitters in the Club.
