Ichiro Suzuki 261st and 262nd Base Hit elbow guard

Date2004 October 03
DescriptionBlack nylon and polyester elbow guard with an oval-shaped lower piece and a larger rectangular piece above. They are connected minimally so that each piece can move almost separately when attached to the arm. The front of the guard has individual foam pads with "Ichiro 51" in raised silver and teal rubber lettering in the center of the bottom piece. There are two wide straps for fastening the guard, one at the top which is looped through a plastic ring and one at the bottom which loops through metal buckles. The top strap extends around the front and secures at the front with a hook-and-loop fastener. Back side is fully padded with an MLB Authentication hologram sticker at the bottom.
Bio/Historical NoteElbow guard used by Ichiro Suzuki when he recorded his 261st and 262nd hits of the 2004 season on October 3, 2004, setting a new single-season record.
