DescriptionNatural stain wooden bat, 32 ounces, with "Louisville Slugger / M9 / Powerized" in the center of the barrel and "Genuine W305M / David Wright / New York Mets" near the end of the barrel. Underside of the barrel MLB and TPX logos. There is an MLB Authentication hologram sticker underneath the inscription near the end of the barrel. Barrel end tip is cupped with "5" handwritten in black ink. Knob end has "5" handwritten in black ink.
Bio/Historical NoteDavid Wright of the New York Mets wielded this bat for a walk-off, two-run single to lift the United States to a 6-5 victory over Puerto Rico on March 17, 2009 during the World Baseball Classic. The dramatic ninth-inning comeback propelled the United States to its first appearance in the semifinals of the WBC.
