DescriptionBlack painted wooden bat, 30.5 ounces, with "Louisville Slugger / 125 / Powerized" in the center of the barrel and "Genuine C271 / McGee / Louisville Slugger" near the end of the barrel. Barrel end tip is cupped. "5" is handwritten in black ink on the knob end.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by rookie Willie McGee of the St. Louis Cardinals to hit two home runs, one in the 5th inning and one in the 7th inning, in Game 3 of the 1982 World Series on October 15th to lead the Cardinals to a 6-2 victory over Milwaukee. McGee was the third rookie to hit two home runs in one game. The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 to win the 1982 World Series.
