DescriptionWhite polyester shirt, size 48, with red side panels and neckline. Front has six clear buttons running down the front placket. Blue and red appliques across the front chest read "Dominicana" with "55" in blue and red appliques below. Proper left front shirttail has a manufacturers= label, "2013 World Baseball Classic / Majestic," with an MLB Authentication hologram sticker below. Proper left side seam near the bottom has flag tags, "Cool Base" and "48." Proper left sleeve has a green rectangular patch with a blue, orange and white circular design in the center with "BHD" in white embroidered below. There is a black and white embroidered "M" logo beneath. Proper right sleeve has a Dominican Republic flag. Reverse of the shirt has "Rodney" and "55" in blue appliques along with an embroidered WBC logo patch at the top back of neck.
Bio/Historical NoteTeam Dominicana shirt worn by Fernando Rodney during the championship round of the 2013 World Baseball Classic from March 17th to March 19th. The Dominican Republic defeated the Netherlands, 4-1, to advance to the finals where they ultimately defeated Puerto Rico, 3-0, to win the WBC. Rodney earned the save in the Dominican Republic's 3-0 victory over Puerto Rico. He also saved seven of his team's eight victories to set a WBC record, allowing no runs and only one hit during the entire tournament.
