DescriptionWhite polyester shirt, size 48, with six clear buttons running down the front placket. Front chest has "USA" in red, white and blue appliques. Proper left front has "2" in blue and red appliques below "USA." Proper left front shirttail has a gray manufacturer label with the WBC logo and "'06 World Baseball Classic / Majestic." Proper right sleeve has a small USA flag patch. Proper left sleeve has a black cord band around the edge. Reverse of the shirt has the WBC logo patch at top neck along with "Jeter" in blue and "2" in red appliques below.
Bio/Historical NoteNew York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was issued this USA jersey for the 2006 World Baseball Classic. Jeter batted .450 and made the WBC All-Tournament Team. The United States team finished the tournament with a 3-3 record after being knocked out in Round Two following a 2-1 loss to Mexico. The black arm band was worn in memory of Hall of Fame member Kirby Puckett.
