DescriptionBlack shirt, size 42, with seven black buttons down the front placket and white piping around the sleeve ends and neckline. Front chest has "Miami" in orange, blue, yellow, white and silver appliques. Proper left front shirttail has a manufacturer label with an MLB Authentication hologram sticker attached. Proper left sleeve has a team logo patch with a manufacturer logo embroidered below. Reverse has "Fernandez" in silver and white appliques and "16" in black, red and silver appliques beneath. There is an MLB logo at the top back of the neck.
Bio/Historical NoteOn September 26, 2016, Miami Marlins players wore uniform shirts with the name and number of their fallen teammate, José Fernández, who had passed away in a boating accident the day before. This particular shirt was worn by Ichiro Suzuki. Before the opening pitch, the team gathered at the pitching mound, knelt and had a moment of silence.
