Dodgers Rookies warm-up jacket

DescriptionBlue satin jacket with a quilted beige interior and blue and white elastic trim on the cuffs, bottom hemline and collar. Front chest has "Dodgers / Rookies" in white and blue appliques. There is a metal zipper down the entire front placket. There are two front pockets, one on either side. Interior has a manufacturer logo, sizing tags, and a handwritten name patch.
Bio/Historical NoteIn the 1940s and '50s, the Brooklyn Dodgers barnstormed a "Rookies" club of amateur prospects throughout the Northeast. Brooklyn scouts developed local Rookies talent while finding new gems along the tour route. The donor wore this jacket while playing for the Dodgers' final Rookies team in 1958.
