DescriptionRectangular piece of sheet metal with punched holes on the top and bottom edges. There are 16 holes at the bottom and 17 holes at the top. Left side also has indentations from nail holes. Two shades of green paint cover the piece and are chipping and peeling away. On the left side is an orange painted section that also has a 3.5" by 4" missing square section. Piece came with eight large metal nails.
Bio/Historical NoteThe Green Monster is a popular nickname for the 37'2" high left field wall at Fenway Park, home to the Boston Red Sox baseball team. The wall is only 310 feet from home plate, and is a popular target for right-handed hitters. The wall was part of the original ballpark construction of 1912. It was made of wood, and was covered in tin and concrete in 1934.
