DescriptionA promissory note, dated December 26, 1919, between New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox as partial payment for Babe Ruth. The front of the note is signed by Jacob Ruppert, President of the American League Baseball Club of New York, Inc. The note is for the sum of $25,000.00. The back of the promissory note shows interest caculations and is signed by Jacob Ruppert and Harry Frazee. It also has $5.00 worth of war bond stamps.
