Ted Williams, former slugger of the Boston Red Sox, who [____ea] yesterday, signs autographs for three fans in Honolulu, where he stopped en [____] to fighting front. Williams has been assigned to a Marine Panther jet fighter squadron." The second image caption reads, "Honolulu: 2/1/53 Capt. Ted Williams. former slugger of the Boston Red Sox, signs his autograph on baseball for admiring young fans Brad, Jeff and Steve Dunn, sons of Gunner Dunn who is stationed here at Naval Air Station at Barbers Point. Williams stopped off here enroute to the fighting in Korea. He has been assigned to a Marine Panther jet fighter squadron."
