Ty Cobb, former Detroit outfield and one of baseball's most famous players, testifies today as the lead-off witness in a congressional inquiry into whether organized baseball violates anti-monopoly laws. The hearing is being conducted by a House Judiciary Subcommittee. Cobb suggested that the game's controversial reserve clause might be modified to help the players."
