Tyrus Raymond Cobb (above), the one-time famed 'Georgia Peach' of baseball, inspects some of the oranges he raises on his farm at Atherton, Calif. Nearing 58, Cobb said Feb. 3 he hopes league baseball will continue despite the war and declared 'if worst came to worst, I'd get back into harness myself to help preserve it.' "
