DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Walter Johnson, dressed in a suit and tie, holding a paper and giving a speech on the radio at NBC Studios. Caption on back of photograph (not shown) reads: "Walter Johnson, the "Big Train" of baseball, who is running for the post of Commissioner in Montgomery County, VA., as he addressed the Republicans of the nation over a coast-to-coast radio hookup from here the night of Nov. 7th, election eve. His subject was entitled "Batter Up" and he was introduced by John Hamilton, Chairman of the Republican National Committee."
