DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott, left, and Bob Hope, right. Ott and Hope are seated next to one another and are looking towards each other. Ott has a straight face and Hope has a slight grin. Hope has his arm placed on the back of the seat. Each gentlemen is dressed in a suit. A newspaper clipping is attached to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Mel Ott (left), former manager of a New York Giants and Bob Hope, comedian and part owner of the Cleveland Indians, talk baseball during informal meeting at New Orleans, Jan. 13." Based on the newspaper clipping and dates stamped on the reverse (also not shown), this photograph was taken on January 13, 1949.
