DescriptionA black-and-white, head and shoulders photograph of young Mel Ott captured during his first season with a New York Giants. Ott has a tight lipped smile and is wearing a New York Giants road uniform. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Mel Ott, shown when he reported to New York Giants' spring training camp in 1926 at the age of 17, died Nov. 21 in New Orleans, LA., after emergency surgery. The member of Baseball's Hall of Fame was 49."
