DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott and Phil Weintraub captured standing in a dugout. Ott has a serious expression on his face as he points towards a baseball field. Weintraub has his right hand on his hip and his left hand resting on his thigh and has a large smile on his face as he looks out onto the baseball field with Ott. Both Ott and Weintraub are dressed in New York Giants home uniforms. Unidentified fans are in the stadium seating in the background. Based on Ott and Weintraub's uniforms, their respective time with the Giants, and a date stamp on the reverse (not shown) this photograph was taken in 1944. The caption on the back of the photograph (also not shown) states, "Mel Ott pointing to right field as Phil Weintraub looks on."
