DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott and Dolf Luque captured sitting on second base together. Both Ott and Luque have large smiles on their faces as they sit in tight quarters. Luque has his right arm resting against his knee. Ott has his head turned to the side towards Luque and has both his arms on top on his legs. Ott's baseball glove is resting on top of his left knee. The two gentlemen are dressed in New York Giants uniforms and have jackets over their jerseys. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Adolph Luque + Mel Ott Old timer give young Mgr talk." Based on Ott and Luque's uniforms and their respective time with the Giants, this photograph was probably taken in 1943.
