DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth dressed as Santa with three children. The caption (not shown) reads "Babe Ruth, despite his illness that has kept him from public functions for many months, dons a Santa Claus costume, Dec. 10, to bring Christmas cheer to little infantile paralysis victims at a party given by the Sister Kenny foundation in the lounge of the Astor Hotel, New York. Party was attended by 50 children. With Babe are (left to right); Jimmy McCall, three; Jane Greenfield, three and one-half, and John Guidera, five." McCall is holding a baseball, Greenfield is holding a doll, and Guidera is holding a ball and a racecar. There are toys around them and a Christmas tree in the background.
