Sandy Koufax in the Dodgers Uniform for the First Time photograph

DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax from the waist up. Koufax has both arms raised, one is holding a baseball, and one is giving the "okay" sign. Koufax is standing in the Dodger's office, which is decorated for Christmas. The caption on thee reverse (not shown) reads, "Dodger Bonus Baby - Sanford (Sandy) Koufax, former Lafayette High School of Brooklyn student, strikes pose as he dons Dodger uniform for first time in club's offices yesterday. Koufax, a star hurler for the University of Cincinnati, where he struck out thirty-four batters in two games, has been signed for a $20,000 bonus." According to the caption on the reverse, this photograph was taken on December 23, 1954.
