The caption, not shown, reads "George Herman (Babe) Ruth, flanked by Nurse Agnes Kavanaugh and a friend, Charles Schwefel, walks from French hospital, New York, Feb 15, where he had been a patient since November 26, 1946. The former New York Yankee home run king was greeted by a crowd of fans as he left the hospital for his Riverside Drive Apartment." There are two unidentified men in frame. One is on the left and the other is behind Ruth.
