DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth. The caption (not shown) reads "Sitting in a car which is to take him to his Riverside Drive New York apartment from French Hospital, New York City, Feb. 15, George Herman (Babe) Ruth, former New York Yankee home run king, touches his visored cap and then looks straight ahead. The Babe was greeted by a crowd of fans when he ended temporarily his three-months stay in the hospital where he underwent a neck operation. He is expected to return to the hospital in a week. Note baseball held by admirer outside car."
