DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth batting at an exhibition game. Ruth is in the batter's box and appears to be post swing. Ruth, the catcher, and the umpire are looking to see where the ball went. There are people in Yankees uniforms visible sitting in front of the dugout, as well as people in suits. There is a full crowd in the stands. The Yankees began using this home uniform, with the N.Y on the chest in 1936. According to the back of the photograph, the stamp reads "received August 24, 1942."
