DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of men holding a Babe Ruth painting. The caption (not shown) reads "Will Wedge (left), representing the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and William Zeckendorf, New York realtor, look at an oil painting depicting the Babe autographing a a baseball for a group of eager youngsters, in New York, Dec. 21. The painting will be installed at the baseball shrine at Cooperstown, New York. It was presented to the shrine at Cooperstown, New York. It was presented by the shrine by the Babe Ruth Foundation in consideration of a $10,000 gift to the children's village, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. by Zeckendorf and John Galbreath, Head of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Each gave $5,000."
