The caption (not shown) reads "Babe Ruth, who saw his greatest days as a baseball player on the New York Yankees under owner Jacob Ruppert, is shown with Mrs. Ruth Jan. 16 as he arrived at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York to attend funeral rites for the man who built the greatest baseball team in the world. Ruppert died Jan. 13."
