DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Claire Ruth boxing. The caption (not shown) reads "As if strenuous training indulged in by Babe Ruth in McGovern's gymnasium in New York City was not enough for one family, Mrs. Ruth is also doing a bit of training there on her own account. She is a boxer of no small ability, and is shown with one glove almost in the cameraman's face. Perhaps it is well for Mrs. Ruth will accompany the Babe south for the forthcoming baseball training season. The gymnasium is the scene of Ruth's activities at the present time as he works to keep off girth."
