The caption (not shown) reads "The mighty Babe Ruth, whose condition in New York's Memorial Hospital was reported as critical, Aug. 11, exerted tremendous energy in the process of hitting home runs. Here, batting in an exhibition game between the Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers in April, 1934, the Babe takes a mighty swing, but misses. The catcher is Al Lopez of the Dodgers."
