The caption (not shown) reads "Babe made his debut as a National Leaguer at Boston on April 16 as a Boston Brave against the Giants, by hitting a single in the first to score Urbanski; scoring himself a moment later, in the first inning and then, in the fifth, lifting the ball over the right field fence for a homer, again scoring Urbanski. The Babe is shown above completing the homer in the fifth. The Braves won 4 to 2." A Yankees player and Giants catcher can be seen to the left of home plate and an umpire is to the right. The left field stands are visible in the background.
