DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured with his head down as he is running towards home plate after hitting a homerun. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. An unidentified catcher is in the background. An unidentified umpire is captured looking on. This game took place at the Polo Grounds in New York, N.Y. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Ott scoring on his homer The mighty blow also brought in Moore." Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was probably taken in 1933.
