Babe Ruth Holding a Dead Bird photograph
Date1935 February 25
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth hunting. The caption (not shown) reads "Babe Ruth, the sultan of swat on the baseball diamond, showed that he was also 'quick on the trigger' Feb. 25 while he was on a hunting trip at Chester, N.Y. He holds up two cock pheasants he brought down on the wing on the Goelet Estate, and the smile he is wearing shows he feels as good as if he had clouted a round trip on the bases."
