DescriptionA set of three black-and-white photographs of Casey Stengel showing the different stages of his life from 1960. The picture of Stengel on the left side shows a head and shoulders picture of him a New York Giants uniform from 1922. He is looking straight ahead into the camera. The middle picture of Stengel shows him in a New York Yankees uniform with glasses and a graduation cap with his left hand on his chin in a thinking man's pose. Here he is looking off to the left. The picture of Stengel on the right side is a head and shoulder picture of him in a suit and a cowboy hat with his arms crossed and looking up. The caption on the top (not shown) reads, "NXP1252181-10/19-(FILE)-NEW YORK: Seventy-year-old Casey Stengel, who was dismissed as manager of the New York Yankees 10.18, is shown in these glimpses from his long career as (L-R) New York Giants star of 1922; the "Old Professor" delivering dugout lecture in 1958, and oil tycoon during Texas visit."
