DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Honus Wagner, left, and Babe Ruth. Both gentlemen are seated. Wagner is wearing a three piece suit, whereas Ruth is in a tuxedo. Wagner is making a fist with both hands and looking down smiling. Ruth is looking over and pointing at Wagner's one fist while holding a cigar in his other hand. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Hans Wagner (left), baseball's all-time shortstop who starred with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and George Herman (Babe) Ruth, who still holds the home run record though he hasn't been playing in a few years, chat over past glories during the 15th annual dinner of the New York Chapter of Baseball Writers' Assn. of America, held at the Hotel Commodore, New York, January 30. 1/30/38." Based on the caption, this photograph was taken on January 30, 1938.
