The image caption on the reverse (not shown) reads, "New York: Ageless Leroy (Satchel) Paige (left), baseball's 'eternal flame,' chats with ex-Dodger catcher Roy Campanella before Negro American League's 29th all-star game at Yankee Stadium here August 20th. Satch, who admits to being 52-years-old, was scheduled to pitch for the West. New York's Governor Nelson Rockefeller was present at the game which honored the Negro Elks, holding their annual convention here this week." Paige is dressed in a Chicago uniform and has his arm around Campanella.
