DescriptionA black-and-white photograph showing (from left to right) Herb Pennock, Bill Dickey, and Wally Schang posing in an unidentified dugout, wearing New York Yankees away uniforms. The photograph was taken in 1942. All three figures are facing the camera, but only Pennock is looking into camera. Pennock has his right leg forward with his foot resting on the top step of the dugout. Pennock has his arms crossed, resting on his right knee. Both Dickey and Schang have their left legs forward with their feet resting (unseen) on the next step down. Both Dickey and Schang also have their left hands resting on their left knees and their right hands posed on their hips. The date of the photograph was determined by examining the details of the uniforms present in the photograph. In particular, there is a patch on the left shoulder of each uniform that reads "HEALTH." The Yankees only wore this patch in 1942.
