DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Roger Maris and John Romano of the St. Louis Cardinals stretching. A caption reads, "Roger Maris is getting the squeeze play from John Romano in Maris introduction to calisthenics today at the St. Louis Cardinals camp. Maris, the home run champion, was traded from the New York Yankees for third baseman Charley Smith. Romano was obtained from the Chicago White Sox." The photograph was taken at Al Lang Field in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 1, 1967.
