BiographyThe Gastonia Cardinals were a minor league team based in Gastonia, NC that played in the North Carolina State League in 1938, the Tar Heel League from 1939 to 1940, the Western Carolinas League from 1977 to 1979 and the South Atlantic League from 1980 to 1982. They were affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals from 1938 to 1940, and 1977 to 1982.
