Opening Day base

DescriptionWhite rubber square base with raised triangular pattern on the top along with "Schutt / Original Hollywood Bases / Jack Corbett / Hollywood Bases" in the center with an MLB logo beneath. Sides of the base have vinyl decals including a black decal with "MLB / BLM" and an MLB logo, a navy blue decal with "Thank You / Frontline Heros" in red and white lettering, and two navy blue decals with "Opening Day 2020" in white lettering with an MLB logo. Underside has four metal bars securing the rubber to the frame with three screws a piece. There is a safety sticker mounted on one side of the pipe that goes into the ground. In one corner there are two circles with numbers and an arrow pointing to two numbers to mark the year and month the base was made, 9 and 12. There is an MLB Authentication hologram sticker in one corner.

Bio/Historical NoteSecond base from the 10th inning of July 24, 2020's Opening Day game against the Los Angeles Angels in Oakland. This was the first extra inning game of the season and, in accordance with the new MLB rule, the first time runners were placed on second base to begin each half of the inning. The base bears vinyl stickers recognizing Opening Day, Black Lives Matter and the COVID-19 pandemic.
