DescriptionSquare white rubber base with metal placard attached to the front with a nail in each corner. The placard reads "Hank Aaron's career-long quest of 715 home runs became official on April 8th, 1974, when "THE HAMMER" rounded third base and planted his foot on home plate in ATLANTA STADIUM. To commemorate this historical achievement, the third base of this game has been saved as a memento of AARON'S determination to cross 2,145 bases en route to this amazing individual record." Underside of the base has a metal plate in the center with a square metal peg protruding from the center. There is a rectangular white manufacturers sticker, "Sportsways / Hollywood Bases."
