DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Connie Mack, left, captured as he shakes hands with Philadelphia Athletics' player, Wally Moses, to congratulate him on his 2,000 hit. Mack has a serious expression on his face as he looks at Moses. Moses has a small smile on his face. They are seated in a dugout and numerous baseball bats a visible in the foreground. Moses is dressed in the Philadelphia Athletics home uniform. A newspaper clipping of this published image is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) with a caption that states, "Congratulations..Connie Mack (left) extends felicitations to Wally Moses after the veteran 38-year-old Philadelphia Athletics outfielder joined the exclusive fraternity of big league players who have collected 2,000 or more hits. Moses got No. 2,000 in the fifth inning against the Browns last night." Based on the included caption this photograph was taken on July 26, 1949.
