All three gentlemen are dressed in suits and have serious expressions on their faces. A marching band is visible in the background on the baseball field. Griffith Stadium is visible in the background and is filled with fans. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Baseball and Politics Do Mix Two veterans of baseball and one of politics lead the march across Washington's Griffith Stadium, April 18, after a flag raising ceremony in deep centerfield before beginning of the season's opener between the Washington Senators and the Philadelphia Athletics.
