Mack has a small smile on his face as he holds a knife over the birthday cake that reads, "Happy Birthday Connie Mack 92." Mack is seated at a table and is dressed in a suit and boater hat. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Celebrates 92nd Ft. Myers, Fla.: Connie Mack, 'the grand old man of baseball,' cuts a cake during his 92nd birthday celebration on December 23rd. Mack's son and several members of the family were present to help the diamond nonagenarian celebrate.12/23/51." A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of an additional copy (not shown) states, "Connie Mack, grand old man of baseball, cuts a cake to celebrate 92nd birthday at Fort Myers, Florida."
