Nap Lajoie glass plate negative

Datebetween 1915 and 1916
DescriptionA black-and-white glass plate negative of Nap Lajoie captured as he practices his batting swing. Lajoie has a serious expression on his face as he completes his swing and the baseball bat rests against his left arm. His baseball mitt and a baseball are visible on the ground in front of him. He is dressed in the Philadelphia Athletics uniform but it is indistinguishable whether it is a home or road uniform. Three unidentified Philadelphia Athletics baseball players and an unidentified gentleman are visible standing in the background. Based on Lajoie's uniform and his time with the Philadelphia Athletics this negative was taken between 1915 and 1916.
