DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Napoleon "Nap" Lajoie posing with a baseball bat. He stands relaxed in a right-handed hitter's stance looking at the photographer. Lajoie's feet are shoulder length apart and his elbows are around his waistline. Lajoie wears an away Cleveland Naps uniform. Based on the uniform details, this photograph was taken in 1903 or 1904. Lajoie stands in foul territory on the third base side. Behind Lajoie are opposing players wearing white uniforms and a kneeling umpire in black. One may see the infield dirt and the outfield grass with surrounded by a high wall. All people are unidentified, and the field is unidentified.
