DescriptionA black-and-white glass plate negative of Lew Fonseca captured practicing his batting swing along the sidelines of the baseball field at Comiskey Park. Fonseca has a serious expression on his face as he holds the baseball bat over his left shoulder after completing his swing. Fonseca is dressed in the Cleveland Indians road uniform. Two unidentified baseball players are visible in the outfield in the background. Comiskey Park is visible in the background. Based on Fonseca's uniform and his time with the Cleveland Indians this negative was taken between 1927 and 1928.
